Fish Market

Another wet day, just drizzly not really raining.  Not even a walk was had.
The 1000 piece jigsaw was finished this afternoon, a feeling of achievement - now we may get other things done.  Made for a nice change though.

This morning around 9am, Timaru's Caroline Bay had a visit from a 12 metre large sperm whale, which sadly has become stranded.  Diggers, boats and volunteers have worked tirelessly to turn it but to know avail.  High tide is around 9 pm tonight which may help.  For safety reasons,  everything has been suspended when darkness fell around 5.30 pm. Terribly sad.

Another four Covid cases today, all New Zealanders returning home, one in hospital the others in managed isolation.  These bring our total cases to 20 !!

Rainie

Later in the evening : With the rising tide, our whale has swum back out to sea, hoping it will stay out in the depths.
