Boozing with Colin
Basil and I left home at 3 pm intending to go for a walk round the block. I changed direction at the corner of the estate and headed for Colin's. It had been ages since we'd seen him.
Around 6pm, Len drew in, in the car. Oooops. I'd left my phone behind and hadn't been able to tell him but he'd guessed right.
Colin and I had been sitting, at suitable social distance, outside, despite it being chilly, supping G&T.
Len joined us for one. Then we drove home. Had to speak to Carol to explain as Len had been phoning people trying to find me.
Colin's garden was looking chipper. The hostas are in flower and the ferns are standing bravely. That's my reflection in the window framed by the ferns.
