Eryngium are one of my favourite plants. I love their architectural structure, vivid colour and prickliness. We have several varieties ad they are all now coming into full bloom to give a wonderful display.
We have been waiting all day for a delivery of cheese that should have arrived this morning. Frustrating but did permit an extended saxophone practice this morning. The weather has been better today, so far - dry and warmer.
My second image is an allium seedhead that stands proudly amongst the eryngium, competing for attention.
