Elephant bath time!

Today was Laura’s last day with us, as she was leaving this evening to travel and visit a friend, and later to stay with her sister in Salt Lake City, where no doubt they will be doing lots of hiking! She had been interested in going to the zoo while she was here, so it had to be today! Philip also joined us. Once again, you had to reserve a timed entrance online, to keep the numbers down. It was another beautiful day, and several of the animals put on a good show for us, especially the elephant pictured, taking a bath/shower, the red pandas, the Malayan tiger, and one of the Colobus monkeys, with her recently born baby, so I have included a few extras. We left about mid afternoon, and went downtown for a late lunch/early dinner at the Moerlein House, where we sat outside on their balcony overlooking the river. Then it was time to take Laura to the airport for her flight.
