Butterfly Walk

I escaped the office in time to stop off for a walk up St Catherine's Hill near Winchester in the hope of seeing some butterflies and orchids.  It's been a while since I climbed up the hill, and even with a walking pole for some support I was puffing by the time I reached the top, and suspect my legs will ache tomorrow, despite only being the equivalent of 20 floors according to the iPhone - lockdown and laziness has taken its toll!

About half way way my walk, now at the bottom of the hill again, I found a classic wildflower meadow, with Pyramid Orchids amongst the grasses and thistles - tick "one" off the list (extra).  The butterflies were also happily flitting around, including this nice example of a Marbled White - photographic objectives successfully completed.
