Richard is off today because tomorrow is our Independence Day.  And with the hot and humid weather forecast we decided to go out early this morning before lunch.

Jacobsburg State Park and Plainfield Rail trail were our destinations.  At Jacobsburg we were lucky enough to see a beautiful female Ruby-throated hummingbird ... but sadly no decent shots of her.  There were also a couple of frogs in the frog pond.  I was actually a little surprised to see so many people at the park that early in the day ... but luckily we didn't encounter anyone.

From Jacobsburg we went to the Plainfield Rail trail for a longer walk as we didn't really walk at Jacobsburg.  We encountered more people here ... but kept our distance.  We had masks with us just in case.

We were home by lunch and spent the rest of the day at home.
