Castle Hill

...... is the common name for this local landmark but the correct name is the Victoria Tower which was built to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee of 1897.  It's a place people often visit just to enjoy the bracing wind and wonderful views;  children can run round unchecked and it's the scene of many of my blips over the years.  It's been one of those days which has seemed to have the weather of all the different seasons in one day, but today, unlike Friday I timed my blip expedition perfectly.

Many thanks for visiting my journal it's very much appreciated.
