Ave atque vale.

At long last - worn out like my knees.  I doubt even Alice's magnificent memory could tell you how many years old the "Vales" are.
Somewhere, to locate and dispose, there's a wooden Salt and a tiny pepper mill.
The wood was/were the 1st inhabitants of "The Wagon".  Probably only kept because we hadn't flung then out.
The tiny mill(s) superseded them in the wagon.  The large, non-metal, pair we've probably had since God's dog was a pup and they finally kinda went on strike as regards efficiency.
SO:-
I gave poverty a blow and replaced them, NOT Cole & Mason© "Made in England" but cheap and, unfortunately, "Made in China".  Is there ANYTHING in the known universe NOT Made in China, but they'll, like as not, see me out.
I've seen "stands" for them before but they've usually been for a combination of tidy/keep together and fragment scatter-stop.  These are upside down, so the Tray is superfluous, except for tidiness; they're used by removing the "top", inverting them for use.
