A LOVELY BLIPMEET!

Last week I had a Whatsapp message from my lovely Blip friend, Heidi, to say that she might be going camping in “Alfie” her motorhome, at Cirencester this week and would we be in if she made a slight detour on the journey from where she lives.  What a silly question!  Apart from going for a walk and Mr. HCB being in the garden, we are always in at the moment!

She duly arrived just after 11 a.m. and we sat and had a physically distanced cuppa together, but I can assure you we were NOT socially distanced - how could we be when we never stopped talking for almost two hours?  

It was lovely to see Heidi again and we were trying to remember when we last met;  she thought it was at the Yeldall Manor Open Day last July, but I thought it was in December when another Blip friend, Turnx3 and her husband came to visit - and I was right.  Where does the time go?

It rained quite heavily a couple of times, but when Heidi was about to leave, she asked if she could have a look around the garden.  The grass has just been cut so is looking good and having had some decent rain, most of the plants look great too.  She admired the various flowers, but especially liked the Hollyhocks, and one next to the one I blipped last week is definitely the Black Knight, as the petals are almost black - I think she will be someone else on the list for a few seeds when they have set.  

Mr. HCB was happy to show her around his vegetable garden but sadly we couldn’t interest her in any of our lettuce - so I might just walk round the corner and see if our neighbours who have a guinea pig would like some, as it’s beginning to go to seed.  

It was great to see Heidi again and we will look forward to hearing how she gets on with camping although the weather isn’t supposed to be that good - but it’s only for a couple of nights.

We hope that Heidi has a great time and that the sun shines on her and are sure she would agree with this quote:

“Camping because therapy is expensive.”
