Strawberries on deck

No, not an afternoon snack on board ship, but a harebrained idea to find somewhere to grow strawberries. Somebody gave me three baskets which have apparently come from mobility scooters (!) and I've fixed them to the top rail of the deck. If they don't get blown away then one day we might get some fruit! No worse than hanging baskets!

Another mixed day, a few spots of rain, a few blasts of wind, a few moments when it was too hot to sit outside! A neighbour came round and shouted up from the road - she came up and we had a good chat out on the deck.

The bad thing about today? The water is off - again! Burst water main at Kilmelford, they say, which is 20 miles away!
