New House

We appear to have bought a house.  Well, we’ve committed a large non-refundable deposit to reserve it, although we did get them to agree to refund it if our chain falls through, but not if we just change our mind.

Another long day, but worthwhile.  We drove over to Holt again and spent well over two hours with the builders going through details and signing all the paperwork required.  They are aiming to complete it in March but they cannot guarantee it especially if there is a second wave of the virus so we might miss out on the stamp duty holiday recently announced, costing us nearly £10k.  Fingers crossed!  We didn’t really have time to drive over to the coast afterwards so headed straight back home again; another 230 mile round trip.
