Transport Museum

After an overnight stay in Greenock we headed up to Glasgow this morning where we had a splendid Sunday lunch in Byres Road with #1 son and his girlfriend. They used to live nearby so knew the best place to go where the food was simply scrumptious. When it came time for them to leave it didn't seem quite so hard saying goodbye, as they now live much nearer to Glasgow than they did before.

We had some time to kill before heading to Dunkeld, where we were meeting up with some friends for a relaxing couple of days, and decided to visit the Transport Museum, which neither of us had been to since it opened on its new site. I was really impressed with the building and the way it makes a bold statement for the future of the city while holding so many relics of its transport history. Only downside was my familiarity with so many of the cars and a boat, which made me feel old. Still, it was great to see them!
