Young Robin

I did about forty minutes gardening this morning before it rained. I still managed to cut back some shrubs and had planned to tackle one today, but managed two. I still have a lot more to do in the large border as well as the Wisterias in the front garden, which have got out of control.

Today’s picture is of our young Robin, which I blipped on the 11 June. Now a month later it is clearly thriving, but seems to be the only one to fledge from a nearby nest. It visits our feeders several times a day and fights off other birds if they get in its way.

The temperature was seventeen degrees Celsius at GMT noon. Mainly overcast but with very little rain and not much sunshine.
