Light Beyond

Finding a subject to photograph is getting to be more of a challenge these days, but I guess that's the whole point? In order to improve, you have to look harder and try to see things from a fresh perspective. It just feels like hard work sometimes and today was one of those.

I've tried this type of shot before, I'm sure, looking through a shady scene to the light beyond. The eye wants to go to the light, but the real meat is in the details of the shade and the sunlit spots, encouraging exploration, and trying to make a more engaging image.

It's not a photograph of a subject, but more about a feeling, a secluded area, quiet, shaded. Perhaps somewhere to take a boat for a lazy read in the shade of summer heat.
