I checked out the bird boxes a few days ago to see if the bees had left.  The bees nest was all but dead, and the box very old and falling to bits, so we decided to replace it.  While we were at it we thought it would be a good idea to replace the single box as well as it was as bad as the terrace, and empty.
 
Between checking the box and the replacements being delivered a sparrow had laid three eggs in the right hand end compartment, so the terrace will have to stay for a while.  I was however able to erect the block of flats . . .
 
As I could not put it up the new terrace has had a drop of Sadolin on the roof which will be dry before it is time for the erection.
