The second half of life..

Gotcha!

Whew!  What a super positive and uplifting day today has been.

Busy morning, starting with a phone call from sisters.  T was discharged from hospital yesterday so F drove up to Nottingham to pick her up.  F is going to stay over the weekend to make sure T can manage the things she needs to manage safely - after 2 weeks in hospital with hardly any standing or walking time she's understandably going to be a bit wobbly on her pins.  It's soooooo good to see her back in her own home and surrounded by her own things........even though the cats were a bit ambivalent about her return.

Next up was a zoom chat with the girls I went to teacher training college   with all those years ago.  It's over 40 years since we first met and I love that we're able to settle into easy chatter all these years later.  It was supposed to have been a weekend away together in Birmingham this week but Covid19 well and truly put pay to that plan.

Next up was a chiropractic appointment in town.  Improvements are evident, though still a way to go yet.  And yes!  I get to use the hangy-upside-down machine to stretch me out and hopfully release the problem spot.  For some reason I really love that machine!!

After over 48 hours of not eating and being very unwell, Minnie began to show sign of a recovery around lunchtime.  She asked for some food, although didn't eat much, and later in the garden she almost looked like she was about to burst into a game of chase.  I'm relieved - very, very relieved.

Rest of the day was a few chores and wanna-do's, including a quick visit to Monaco where this chap and his mate seemed to be over-indulging in crabs.  Nice, easy way to finish what has been a very mild day.  Spring is beginning to wake..........

In COVID news, there was one new case today and 7 recoveries bringing our active case total down to 21.
