Reaching out

The sedum are in flower, leaning out as far as possible in this fairly shady corner.

Coursework, dog training, ironing, washing - one of those days.

Just to say, the phrase " I reached out to someone" when all you mean is you talked to them always irritates me intensely. Reaching out is a much more a succouring expression, a friend in need and all that.
