Grey on grey

Blips like this are usually work related when I'm in Christchurch and around earthquake rebuilds.

This is near to home, an indoor sports centre that supposedly includes a purpose built spin room. The council has a habit of half-arsed projects (like a new community centre for nearby West Melton) so I'll wait and see.

It has no heating or cooling in the main auditorium area which renders it an expensive white elephant when it comes to staging community events. Freeze or cook.

If it all comes to fruition it will be a great facility for the district, leaving just the small issue of a lack of parking. In daylight I can walk there but a large unlit park isn't somewhere I'd cross in the dark.

I managed some exercise, stretching and a little tidying in the garden. A good sort of day with the right balance of 'doing' and 'being'.

Today's gratitude: For leading a pretty normal life. It's easy to forget that most parts of the world don't have what we do in this pandemic.
