Across the fields

Typically for the first day of the holidays, I was awake before 5 and decided to get up for a bit rather than lying there awake. I made a cup of tea, did a bit of tidying and then went back to bed with my book before going back to sleep for a couple of hours. Bailey determined what time we did get up and we went for a walk around the big block. Home for breakfast and a bit more tidying with the drawers of the sideboard cleaned out - one of those little jobs that are on the summer list. 

A grey day up until this afternoon when Bailey and I went for a walk with the bestest friend. It turned out to be quite warm so there was a lot of huffing and lie downs from Bailey but we had a good catch up. Bailey has slept for the rest of the afternoon and most of the evening but he did stir himself to eat his tea and go and see if the hedgehog that he found in the garden last night had made an early appearance. No sign of it in the daylight.
