Busy bees

The bees are loving these alliums (which I first saw at Hampton Court Garden Festival two years ago) but they are the only things that have been busy in the garden today. Too hot for me to be out there and the forecast for tomorrow is much more favourable for what needs doing. 

First day of the holidays and I was awake early but didn't get up for quite a while. There was an early spurt of productivity - cleaning the bathroom - but it didn't last and there has just been general pottering and tidying, reading, telly watching, two walks in the cool for Bailey and a lengthy afternoon nap.
