Looking up at the Bank

This is the Clydesdale Bank at the Queen's Cross roundabout. It is quite a distinctive building somewhat spoilt by the modern extension at the back. It is noticeable for the decorative ironwork at the top of the building. Like most of the buildings along Albyne Place no doubt this would have been a private residence at one time, but now converted to commercial use.

The building in the background is Queen's Cross Church. It was another morning with clear blue skies but very cold. There was also a sprinkling of snow on the ground.

The ironwork is worth a close view in large format. Though it is then apparent the bank need to give some attention to the paintwork around the windows.
