Cirencester

Today we went to Cirencester.  A bit of a trek, but a nice town.  We wanted to visit a particular furniture shop to check the quality of their products ‘in the flesh’, so to speak.  They only have two showrooms, one in Cirencester and the other in Kingston-upon-Thames and both are roughly the same distance from us, so the choice was between spending Friday tackling the M1 and M25 or a slow pootle through the Cotswolds.  Clearly, the Cotswolds won, and we stopped for a picnic lunch on the outskirts of Stow-on-the-Wold.

We were impressed by the quality as compared to another firm with similar but much more expensive products.  The other firm will no doubt use solid hardwoods whereas this company use some softwoods and engineered wood products, but for what we want that is fine.  And they are a lot less than half the price.
