A day in the garden

It was supposed to be raining all day today but we seem to have got away with just a few spots. The grass is cut, the roses are cut back, there are fewer weeds than there were this morning, I have re-potted the lily of the valley and salvias. All in all a good day’s work.
Now to have a cup of tea and read our latest book club book - ‘Where the Crawdads sing’, by Delia Owens.
