A solitary sunbeam

It has been a wet day, No, not a wet day, a very, very wet day, torrential in fact. I don't think it actually stopped raining since breakfast this morning.

Just as I was clearing up after dinner this evening, the sun briefly peeped out of the clouds for a few seconds.  I hadn't taken a photo all day, but I saw this Japanese Anemone glowing in the light and raced out to take a shot.  As you can see, it has been beaten down by the rain, but I am sure that it will have perked up in the morning, if the rain keeps off overnight.
