A Prickly Subject

Eryngium bourgatii, nicely at home in a friend's garden where I settled it this spring.  We saw the native Sea Holly on a walk along the coast the other evening so hopefully this one will do well here too.

A fairly gentle Sunday.   It's been quite bright although the early evening dog walk was decidedly blustery.  Rain forecast for tomorrow so I left the indoor jobs 'til then and spent an hour with my brother's battery powered lopper, chipping away at the line of trees on my boundary.  They were planted as a hedge I guess but now it's a line of trees that need a proffessional to bring them down,
