The coathanger

I was out late into the night trying to capture a photo of the comet before it gets too far from earth to see it clearly.  Sadly there was a persistant strip of cloud which kept me waiting for ages and actually defeated me by 2am. Colder than l would like to be l headed to bed but not before pointing the camera milky wayward for a final shot. To my absolute delight when l got inside l saw that l had captured the Coathanger asterism.  This is a fun thing to find in the binoculars on a warm night lying back on a comfortable chair or hammock and just searching the skies with the bins.  So for those of you who like a summer project.. get out there and find it for yourself :)
