Small Flower and Tiny Fly

A horrible day weather wise with lots of light rain and wind. G and I were due to go to Sheringham Park this morning, but I started feeling unwell yesterday and had to cancel. So just a chill out day watching tv and hoping I feel better tomorrow. This is a small lobelia flower, so you can imagine how tiny the fly was.

Day 134 / Full Day 126 of Lockdown / Day 24 of Step 3 (for my record only)
UK deaths up 7 to 45,759 with new daily cases up by 685. Total no. of confirmed lab cases passes 300k. Deaths in the US pass 150k. A pet cat in England has tested positive for SARS-Cov2, the virus that causes Covid-19, thought to have caught it from the owners, but all have since recovered. The British Veterinary Association says that if you have Covid-19 you should restrict contact with pets, wash your hands before and after contact with them and wear a mask if care is req'd, and keep cats indoors if possible. The Health Service Journal reports that over a quarter of BAME NHS staff still haven't had a risk assessment re their coronavirus exposure as recommended by NHS England at the end of April.

The Govt releases a policy paper on Tackling Obesity, particularly due to its impact on the severity of the virus as well as our long term health and cost to the NHS. A new campaign and tools will be launched, NHS weight mgmt services to be expanded, traffic light labelling to be reviewed, leg'n to be introduced for calorie labelling at out of home food businesses with more than 250 employees, consulting on calorie labelling on alcohol, legislating to end BOGOF offers on foods high in fat, sugar and salt plus their prominent positioning, and banning their advertising before 9pm.
