Buttery

A very buttery Green-veined White enjoying some Knapweed. Most butterflies were keeping well sheltered on what proved to be a very squally day.

More excitingly I think I may have stumbled across a couple of Hobby flitting in and out of the woods. One calling from the woods, then one flying in and another departing. I've never knowingly seen Hobby before so I'm going by listening to recordings of calls on the RSPB website later.  It could possibly have just been Kestrel but I don't think so. I may return tomorrow to see if I can see/hear anything again.
