Tiny Tuesday

I thought I’d jump in and give Tiny Tuesday a try. It seemed appropriate because most everything active in my yard right now is an insect • Although this once tall and beautiful wild thistle was growing at the corner of my property, deer passing through recently trampled it to the ground. I was surprised to find this blossom today • These three Flower or Hover Flies were not surprised one bit. They are good insects to have because they help control pests, and while gathering nectar they serve as pretty good pollinators too • It’s so awfully warm and humid here.
