A day in the life

Potatoes

Most of the day has been designated to helping my neighbour, who is elderly and a bit poorly, to get to and from the hospital for his medical checkup. Now that he's too slow for busses I'm happy to drive him there and back and get time for a little chat on the way. When we were going home again he suggested visiting an old friend of his in Kalmar so we ended up being treated to coffee and cinnamon buns, talking about today and the past. So nice to see them and even nicer to see the two old friends talk about other things than their current illnesses.

I end with a picture from my walk to The Garden in the Forest where they grow Angel's Trumpets, Brugmansia suaveolens. They have the most delightful sweet scent and are actually in the family of potato plants.
