The accidental finding

Al fresco dining

No zoom today, because we had our last Creative Writing Session yesterday. I'd been getting a little fed up of it, the sessions went on so long!

Friends dropped by for a garden-coffee and to pick up a spare DVD player for another friend, who has broken her collarbone and is fairly immobile. Poor woman, she's usually so active. I packed up my goods for the market, did some jigsaw puzzling, washed some clothes, and made a batch of biscuits. Unfortunately they were quite good, and I ended up eating a few too many. if you want to know how to make the GF version of Abbey Crunch, apply here. (Do Abbey Crunch biscuits even exist any more? The name sounds so Seventies!)

CleanSteve and I went down to the Shambles indoor hall at 5 to set up our stalls for tomorrow. In the new socially distanced indoor market, there will be only six stallholders and ten customers at a time. No chatting and drinking tea with customers / friends behind the stall will be permitted. That's always been part of Fridays, but so, too, are the many stallholders who won't be there tomorrow or any time soon. Nonetheless, I'm excited, but also planning to take a good book, and to nip out for ice cream when the temperature hits 31 degrees.

After getting home, I made some supper (sea bream with Mediterranean vegetables), and on a whim, decided to serve it in the garden. This made a welcome change, and temperature had cooled to a pleasant degree.
