WW2 training camp remains

We were out with two friends on the local commons having devised a walk to show them some of the remains of Dalditch Camp a WW2 Royal Marines Infantry Training Centre.  It was a good day for walking as the weather was varied and not quite so hot as yesterday.  The walk itself comprised a mix of open heathland, hills, woodland and sea views with the WW2 remains and a Nature Reserve.  We saw a wide variety of butterflies including Gatekeeper, Holly Blue, Skipper, Small Heath and Grayling, a lizard and several dragonflies. So a good walk.

The blip shows a graffitied decontamination unit used when they were training with mustard gas.
