Along the coast

No luck with swallows, swifts or squirrels this morning.  They were all otherwise occupied, and not in their usual spots.  But the morning light along the coastline was lovely, and at least one person didn't mind the passing showers.
Not long ago I bought a secondhand zoom lens, a monster Sigma 150-600mm. When it's good (or when I'm good with it), it's very, very good. But it's taking some practice to get the best out of it. So I spent a happy half hour or so this morning, practising on floating leaves and dozing ducks - easier targets than airborne swallows.
A day of short dog walks, between showers, and family visits. Peaceful.
