Done and Dusted

The mini meadow was ablaze in chicory blue this morning.  It was breezy out and my Yorkshire flag from yesterday's Yorkshire Day was flying proud so I decided to leave it for the remainder of the day.  I spent some time trying to blip flying things and then took Tony his morning cuppa at the allotment, returning with a basket of courgettes, cauliflower, broccoli, french beans and the last of the blackcurrants - bushes now pruned for another year.

After lunch I wandered down in to the village with my camera to capture the vehicles driving through on the Manorlands Vehicle Run.  Our local hospice, like many others, is suffering from lack of funds due to the cancellation of many charity events.  A vintage gathering is usually held in the next village each year which attracts lots of folks and makes a goodly amount of money, but it has fallen foul of the virus and so one of the organisers held the vehicle run instead.  Forty plus tractors; vintage cars and trucks (and a fire engine) did a tour locally and quite a few folks turned out in our village to cheer them on, it also raised much needed spirits.

After they had gone through I walked up to friend Angela's to return her key and we arranged to meet for a walk on the moor later in the afternoon, a lovely end to the day.
