Bottoms Up!

I'm staying in at weekends whilst the tourists are around, so just another flower photo I'm afraid. I focused on the flower and started pressing the shutter just as the bee decided to pay a visit. I watched Radioactive this afternoon, a film about one of my heroes, Marie Curie. Only an ok film (I think there's far to much to her story to keep it to a film), but very well acted by Rosamund Pike. Just watched the first splashdown in 45 years from the Dragon spacecraft, an excellent mission.

Day 140 / Full Day 132 of Lockdown / Day 30 of Step 3 (for my record only)
UK deaths up 8 to 46,201 with new daily cases up by 744. Globally cases to date pass 18m, whilst still up 1m in 4 days the rate is increasing. Total cases to date in South Africa have passed 0.5m. A state of disaster has been declared in the Australian state of Victoria after a rise in cases. Testing for all staff and residents at care homes has been delayed until Sept. The Sunday Times reports that people aged between 50 & 70 could be given personalised Covid risk assessments and could be asked to stay at home if there's a 2nd wave. There is concern that the outbreaks at mink farms in Spain and the Netherlands show that as well as humans passing the virus to the mink, the mink might also have passed it to humans. Russia said last night that it will roll out a vaccine in October.
