Hydrangeas

We nearly made it to Portland today but by the time we’d shopped at the market in Sherborne for veg and fish , drunk coffee, and answered a mobile call from Stan, who was pleased to tell us about his culinary successes of the week , there was very little time left so we returned from Dorchester to have a walk at Minterne Magna Himalayan Gardens . 
The gardens were so peaceful although it made us smile when a couple leaving as we arrived asked if we were going round the gardens. When we’d affirmed that we were, their reply was “Well they’re uncared for, overgrown and full of weeds!”

What !!! We smiled and said that we’d been before and loved them .
 Honestly, what do people want - obviously no idea about natural gardens, habitats and how to respond to some amazing specimen trees ?
