Botany

The bottom of the slope beside the shed has been replanted. Shade loving plants like hostas, ferns and a couple of lilies. But too much time spent on residents' business. The smash the day before has kicked off a round of messaging, and one particular new resident who is a bit of a hothead demands we have an emergency meeting of the association. He announces we need a "major campaign to be kicked off as soon as possible and shame the council into taking this seriously and getting change driven through.”
The poor fellow has obviously never even tried getting a reply to an email from the council. One thing I do know, is that with the likely financial impact of covid as a backdrop, if we start campaigning about the narrowness of the road and the damage to parked cars we won’t get a £1.5m road re-alignment. We won't even get traffic calming or speed cameras, costing a few £100k - we’ll get yellow paint at £10 a can for double lines.
