Along The Shore

A blue sky, fluffy white clouds sort of day. Nice cloud reflections on the calm lake surface. Not too hot, a bonus for August. I always like warm light on rocks.

I decided to try my filters, but not having used them in a while, I put it in crooked at first. Using a 3-stop graduated to cut the bright sky and get some definition in the clouds, the top of the sky turned out too dark. Obviously I positioned it incorrectly and had to adjust it later.

My shots pointing towards the sun had quite a bit of flare. I preferred this image with the sun positioned just out of frame.
