Still Active

Fine weather continues to hold. Taking a wander in the evening light is very pleasant at the moment. I was surprised to find these Penstemons still flowering at this time. My recollection was they came earlier in the season. But this year everything seems a month behind, so maybe other plants have not yet overtaken the white blooms and obscured them.

I like finding things in the half light such as this, little beams catching here and there, adds a sense of mystery to the image. I placed the flower lower in the frame to indicate its small scale, trying to convey its fragility. There's an idea I could play with!
