Scandal Rocks the AOG

AOG - Day 7...and what a day it has been.

It all started out calmly enough.  A cool and slightly overcast day made the feathered contestants quite happy while the multi-legged athletes were happy to hang out in Olympic Village.

The trouble started when it was time for Team Hummie to enter the stadium for Round One Semi-finals of Speed Nectaring.  Hummies were zooming from one nectar station to the next when...(cue music from Jaws)...the tiny striped he-devils entered the arena!  The audience (all socially distanced and masked, of course) gasped in horror as Team Yellow Jacket started chasing Team Hummie all over the Arena.  If that wasn't enough, a whole mob of them took over one of the nectar stations and proceeded to drink and curse and generally act like heathens.

I quickly conferred with the other AOG Officials and it was agreed that Team Yellow Jacket was to be immediately disqualified from all events.  Folks, rarely have the Officials had to take such dire measures, but I think you'll agree that it was warranted.  And let this be a lesson...  Unfortunately, as of this writing, Team YJ has refused to leave their dorm room at Olympic Stadium.

Meanwhile, your intrepid reporter from New Jersey has been thoroughly entertained by the reports coming in from AOG Venues from around the Globe.  Some of yesterday's favorites
The Return of Rodney Red Kite
Julia winning the Gold
Gold Medalist Bella Bee
A totally tumultuous day
the incomparable Jemima Puddle Duck

Breaking News:  The AOG Officials have decided to add an additional FOUR days to the Games!!  The Closing Events/Ceremonies will now be on 14 August.  So, bring it on, people, and spread the word!!

And don't forget to be safe, kind, loving.
