Peeping Through

Thought I'd chance taking Baz out for his walk at 1 pm, even though it was hot. There was a very pleasant cool breeze from the north however, which ameliorated the temperatures.

I wanted to go to the flower shop in the village to buy sweet peas, but I could see when I got to the bottom of the Lant that it was closed. We turned round and went back up the road, calling in on Clifford as we passed. He's doing OK and was busy tucking into fish and chips delivered by a neighbour down the road.

Returning along the jitty, I found these hollyhocks peeping round the edge of a garden gate. A beautiful pink.
