PNW AOG Day 9

Finally!  Team Canada Goose got their act together and decided to participate in these games.  Today they competed in several events of precision paddling, one of which resulted in them winning a gold medal.  In another, they probably would have taken silver if the last goose in the line hadn't decided to scratch an itch mid-competition. (See Extra)  When asked why they are just now appearing at the games their captain lamented about several members who were recovering from strained wings which happened while they were practicing some extremely complicated aerial maneuvers.  He assured me that they are hoping to compete in the aerial events as planned.

Team Squirrel has still not taken the proper steps to meet the requirements for entry into the games.  Reportedly, several of the members have left in a huff, opting to spend the summer at a nut farm retreat.  Simone Squirrel has stayed behind and is doing her best to redeem the team's good name.  She successfully applied for and received permission to compete in one of the jumping competitions where she received honorable mention.  She then retreated to the snack bar.

The weather has been lovely here at Pacific Northwest Stadium so hopes are high that tomorrow will see some exciting events with Team Osprey.  Watch this space.
