LD 141 Edinburgh Festival Morning

I walked to Parliament this morning with low cloud shrouding all the hills of the city - this is Calton Hill seen from the High St but Arthur’s Seat & Salisbury Crags we’re also lost to view as was the more distant prospect of the Pentland’s.

Such haars aren’t that rare but what was more strange was the complete absence of the crowds that usually throng the place during August. It is this year a non Festival city and after years of that summer experience here it feels - and looks - very strange.
