View from the office window at Tenterden Town

Hot, hot, hot again. Pity the footplate crew working in temperatures of over 30c next to a massive fire and hot metal.

Plenty of people about. Both trains were sold out, not every seat taken of course as we’re operating at reduced capacity to ensure passengers safety. Everyone I talked to had a lovely time, thoroughly enjoying the trip even in this heat. Feedback from passengers has been overwhelming positive.

Trains were running late all day which didn’t seem to upset anyone! The first train was late off owing to some shuffling of stock, it was further delayed at Bodiam as people bought refreshments and visited the conveniences. And so the second train was similarly delayed. All went well though and it was a real pleasure to be working Tenterden box.
