'tis All Downhill From Now

Another year older. No longer "officially" the same age as Mrs. Tuttle.
Umph.

Tried out the new trainers with a 5+ mile run this morning. All was well. They fit well, though a tad wider than my last Mizunos at the front, which is nice.

Had a grand day out in Chester helping my Dad and his other half get through the locks from the Trooper to the "city center". Five locks in all, and all were hard work. Nowt to do with my 48 years of life. Honestly. The work paid off once moored up, with bacon butties, sausage rolls, pizza, quiche and bread with garlic (garlic bread). And filter coffee. And, erm, birthday cake. Nice. It was decided that the staircase locks were to be missed out due to the weather forecast on Sunday. The triple staircase locks in Chester are hard work especially with them being so steeply structured. Seeing them for yourself is enough to explain this let alone trying to put a single boat through, as it helps if two boats go through together. So we decided to walk towards them as Tuttle Jnr has never been through them by boat before (see extras). He was pretty gutted not to be able to go down then up again. Maybe another day.....

Sadly the day was cut short due to my part time work commitments this evening.
