Seeing Beyond Looking

The Courtyard

A lovely little outing today with Jean. We had breakfast out in a place that makes the best Birchermuesli in town! Then we took a bus to the small lakeside town of Lutry full of quaint and quirky buildings and architecture.  As a change from lake scenes, I wanted to capture the charm of buildings which caught my eye. This sunlit courtyard, belonging to a 15th century building, looked so cheerful  from the street as we passed by.  I like the Gothic archway very much.  You can just see part of the well with an overhanging plant and the yellow postboxes on the wall on the left. The green plants add a friendly touch.

The extra photo is the  entrance to the courtyard through which we can see the well very much better.

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend. Our heat continues with high humidity, but not for too long now!
