Life through the lens...

Zita.

An emergency blip of this lovely gladioli which is flowering at the moment. Named Zita.
First time I have managed to keep them from one year to the next.

A busy day putting everything back after the carpet cleaner had worked his magic. Feels like a new carpet.
It has taken most of the day. All cleaned and polished. The mahogany, inlaid card table ( belonged to my Grandfather)needed a bit of TLC, but after some elbow grease has come up well. I felt like one of the experts on “ The Repair Shop” !
Still have all the books to put back in the bookcase.

Another dull day, but no rain, so have had to water the tomatoes and runner beans.
I picked another 8 oz of beans which tasted great with the chicken and mushrooms/ cream sauce.

Watching the cycling in France. The Criterium du Dauphine.
At the moment the scenery in the Alps is stunning, and the weather looks glorious.
We really missed Le Tour de France this year.
