Harvest Day......& More of his Purple Peas

We spent a good part of the day in the garden today...taking things out of the veggie beds and planting new stuff.
We harvested some mighty fine beetroots that turned out to be a bit squarish rather than round....and our Broccolli (which P calls the devils vegetable) has exploded into lovely big heads.
It really is so wonderful to all be out there together planting ...picking...admiring...I took quite a few pics of our bounty but those purple peas reaching up into the sky with their little curly bits won the day.

Needless to say we feasted tonight and I am as full as a goog.

“Everything is determined, the beginning as well as the end, by forces over which we have no control. It is determined for the insect, as well as for the star. Human beings, vegetables, or cosmic dust, we all dance to a mysterious tune, intoned in the distance by an invisible piper.”
