MonoMonday: Key/Quay

One of the many tasks that I've undertaken in trying to sort out Dad's things, is trying to work out if any of these keys served a useful purpose...

On the plus side, it has given me a ready made shot for today's Mono Monday challenge from our host in August, Chantler63.

As we were lying in bed last night, it started to rain quite heavily.  The noise got louder and louder as the rain got heavier and heavier.  Eventually the water was hammering down so hard that it sounded as though we had a low flying airplane overhead, and I really am not exaggerating.

This morning when we woke, the pond was full to the brim.  Unfortunately we had left one window open when going to bed.  It was only the small window in the utility room window that we left ajar.  It is one of those window casements divided into a main pane with a smaller top hung pane at the top which opens.  But there are no significant eves on the Utility room and the gutters were overwhelmed, so this morning there was a large puddle in the utility room below that window ...  I am so pleased that we had decided to shut the other windows, in the recent warm weather many of them have been left open.
