Soggy

Not a lot can be said about today, except that my pre waking dozing of snow outside turned out not to be true. But, it rained all day oscillating between very heavy rain and steady mizzle. The cloud was right down, it was almost dark and it was cold, heating on. Is this still summer?

My handover out of this job started today and then this afternoon I had a Colleges Scotland meeting, the usual suspects spoke, a lot.

And then after the energy jab at the Health Centre it was out to town for a very pleasant evening with E for our 'Boris bribe'. The restaurant was busy. We were well away from other people but in other parts there was less social distancing. Just as well we have so very few cases here.

And in political news, the rest of the UK executed the U-turn and followed Scotland on the exam results. Suddenly our FM and DFM look like politicians who are able to take the right decisions. The whole thing has been despicable. These young people have been so much in the last 5 months. First of all the UK Government created the Covid debacle and now it compounds it all by mucking up the futures of these school students who have been caught up in something not of their making.
